 **Course Overview: Advanced Medical Coding**

The field of medical coding plays a crucial role in the healthcare industry, ensuring accurate billing and reimbursement processes. Our Advanced Medical Coding course is designed to equip professionals with the essential knowledge and skills required for successful careers in this domain. This comprehensive training program features two distinct modules:

1. **Basic Medical Coding (BMC) & Certified Professional Coder (CPC)**

The first module focuses on foundational coding principles and practices, introducing participants to the essential concepts of medical coding, including but not limited to ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems. Students will gain practical experience in coding various medical procedures and diagnoses while learning about compliance regulations and best practices. Following the completion of the BMC portion, participants will move on to prepare for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) examination, which validates their expertise and enhances their professional credentials in medical coding.

2. **Basic Medical Coding (BMC) & Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)**

The second module also begins with Basic Medical Coding (BMC), thereby ensuring a solid foundation in coding methodologies. After mastering the basics, students will progress to the Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) training. This portion of the course is designed for those aiming to achieve a higher level of expertise in coding for inpatient and outpatient services. The CCS certification is recognized as a hallmark of advanced coding proficiency, emphasizing the ability to assign codes accurately and efficiently.
